Meet Your Therapist
Licensed, compassionate, and deeply committed to your growth.
A therapist who believes
in the power of the journey.
Welcome. I'm so glad you found your way here.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia with both formal training and lived experience in trauma, grief, addiction, and mental health. I know what it feels like to carry the weight of deep-rooted pain — and I know what it feels like to do the work of healing. That dual perspective shapes everything about how I show up for my clients.
In my full-time role, I serve as Clinical Director at an ASAM residential treatment facility, overseeing clinical operations across multiple levels of care. I've spent the past five-plus years immersed in substance use disorder treatment, and that work has given me a profound respect for the courage it takes to seek help and stay the course. I opened Justful Journeys as a part-time evening and weekend practice because I believe in something that traditional treatment settings don't always allow for: time. Time to go slowly. Time to go deep. Time to dig up the roots, make sense of them, offer ourselves compassion, and put them to rest — so we can build something healthier in their place.
My approach is deeply humanistic — I believe every person is innately good, and that every behavior makes sense in the context of the belief systems we formed as children trying to make sense of our world. Through a psychodynamic lens, I help clients explore those early patterns. Through attachment and schema frameworks, CBT, and motivational interviewing, I help them begin to shift them. I am trained in EMDR and CBT, and I continue to add to my clinical toolbox — because the more I know, the more I can offer you.
A lot of my philosophy is rooted in the work of Carl Jung. I believe shadow work is not optional — it is essential. Jung said, "Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one's being, but by integration of the contraries." I hold that truth in every session. Healing isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about learning to honor the parts of ourselves that have kept us safe, so we can flow with them rather than against them — and grow into the fullness of who we truly are.
I believe every person's story deserves to be heard and honored in a space free from judgment. That it is as much about unlearning old beliefs as it is learning new ones. And that all our answers are already within us — sometimes we just need someone to help us see the forest through the trees.
Healing is a journey, not a destination. I would be honored to hold space for you and walk alongside you on that journey. Regardless of where you are right now — I am rooting for you, always.
Keep traveling.
How I Work
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence — but always guided by you.
Evidence-Based
I draw from EMDR, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused CBT, and other research-backed modalities — choosing the right tools for your specific goals.
Person-Centered
You are the expert on your own life. I act as a guide and collaborator, not a prescriber. Sessions are shaped around your pace, your needs, and your goals.
Trauma-Informed
All my work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma shapes our minds and bodies. Safety, trust, and empowerment are central to everything I do.
Culturally Aware
I recognize that identity, culture, and lived experience are inseparable from mental health. I strive to be a culturally humble and inclusive practitioner.
